Visual artist Patrick Bongoy and performance poet and writer Malika Ndlovu have been collaborating on various art projects over the past three years including Patrick's current solo exhibition at AVA Gallery. These two artists will host a public conversation about their resonances with the idea of subject and object, how they approach the relationship between imagery, story or meaning within their individual visual art and poetry mediums. Deirdre Prins-Solani, a fellow creative and an international expert on Intangible Heritage, who describes herself as a Memory-maker, Storyteller and Archive, adds another lens to the discussion
